Tall ships Raffle 22nd September to 31st October 2008

Rules of the Raffle

 

  1. The raffle is being administered by the Rotary Club of Cardiff St.David's under Registration No.315 with Cardiff County Council dated 15th April 2008.

  2. It is being conducted with sponsorship from the Reardon Smith Trust and the Tall Ships Trust, and as such the award of the Tall Ships prizes must meet their criteria. In particular to receive a Tall ships cruise the winner must be between 16 and 25, be resident or a residential student in Wales and of good health and demeanor.

  3. The cruise will take place at a date and time and route as set by the Tall Ships Trust

  4. Winners will be responsible for making their own travel arrangements to the ports of embarkation and disembarkation.

  5. The ticket price is £1 and each ticket is eligible to win a prize.

  6. Tickets and prizes are not transferable.

  7. Prizes will be drawn on the evening of the 20th November, or if not possible reasonably close to that date.

  8. Prizes will be offered in the order drawn. If a winner is not eligible for a Tall Ships cruise, for any reason, then he/she will be offered a secondary prize, and the Tall Ships cruise offered to the subsequent ticket drawn.

  9. If there are insufficient eligible winners for a Tall Ships cruise then further draws will take place at later dates until all of the prizes are allocated.

  10. The decisions of the organisers are final.

  11. Cardiff Students Union will receive 20% of the proceeds for their involvement.

  12. The remaining proceeds will be used to support Rotary Charities at home and abroad.

  13. The Rotary Club is made up of volunteers and as such there are no charges for administration.

  14. The accounts of the raffle will be audited by one of the regular Auditors of the Rotary Club of Cardiff St.David's
